Graduate Certificate in Cybersecurity

Go Further with Hands-On Cybersecurity Training

The Graduate Certificate in Cybersecurity is a two-year in-person program offered at our Sault Ste. Marie and Brampton campuses. Designed for students with non-computer science backgrounds, the program provides both the theoretical knowledge and practical skills needed to succeed in today’s cybersecurity landscape. Students build a strong foundation in computer science and mathematics before moving into topics such as ethical hacking, network security, digital forensics, cloud and IoT security, and cyber risk management.

With growing threats to digital infrastructure across industries, graduates of this program will be well-equipped for careers in cybersecurity and digital protection—or to continue their studies in Computer Science at Algoma University.

Program Highlights

Students will begin with essential courses in computer science and mathematics before progressing to hands-on cybersecurity training using real-world tools and techniques. Topics include cryptography, ethical hacking, incident response, risk management, and cloud security. Courses are delivered in-person at both campuses with access to cybersecurity labs and virtual IT environments.

Fall intake is available at both the Sault Ste. Marie and Brampton campuses.
