Undergraduate Student Research Awards (USRA)

Undergraduate Student Research Awards (USRA) are meant to stimulate students’ interest in research in the natural sciences and engineering. They are also meant to encourage a student to undertake graduate studies and pursue a research career in these fields. If students would like to gain research experience in an academic setting, these awards can provide them with financial support through their host university.

Work Placements

Faculty hires students every summer to conduct valuable research and help out within their field of study. These work placements help build students’ resumes, but also provide students with the opportunity to publish their research findings – a rare opportunity for undergrads! The Algoma University Work Study Program is designed to provide on-campus part-time employment to eligible Algoma University students through the Financial Aid Office.

Summer Employment Program

The Algoma University Summer Employment Program is designed to provide on-campus full-time employment to eligible Algoma University students through the Financial Aid Office.

Volunteers

Should you wish to volunteer to assist in a research lab or with a research project, please contact the Office of Research and Innovation ([email protected]). The valuable experience and knowledge gained will be an asset to list on your resume and/or application to graduate school.
