Faculty of Business and Economics LEAP Case Debate
The Faculty of Business and Economics is proud to announce the inaugural Learners Early Access Program (LEAP) Case Debate Competition. This first-of-its-kind case debate competition in Ontario will be held on December 9, 2024, at the Peel County Courthouse.
Algoma University’s LEAP program is an excellent opportunity for current high school students from the Peel region to explore the university experience before graduating high school. This free program aims to provide a ‘leap’ from high school to university for equity-deserving students (Indigenous, Black – equity deserving groups) who have been historically underrepresented to complete Grades 11 and 12 at Algoma University, Brampton.
In partnership with the Peel District School Board (PDSB) and the Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board (DPCDSB), and in collaboration with industry partners, the LEAP program provides both OSSD credits and university credits, in addition to career-oriented micro-credentials and hands-on learning experiences designed to prepare students for future success.
