Film Screening for Black History Month

The Social Work Department is hosting a belated event for the Black History Month (as a result of an eventful February).

The theme for the BHM this year from the Canadian government is Black Canadian women: stories of strength, courage, vision. We decided on a National Film Board documentary about Black history in Canada coming from diverse Black Canadian women’s voices. Event detail as follows:

  • Date: Thursday, March 1st
  • Time: 7:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
  • Place: Townhouse #13 (social work temporary office due to renovation in Shingwauk Hall 5th floor)

Film screening: Documentary “Sisters in the struggle” by the National Film Board [49 minutes]

All welcome!
