In Honour of World Suicide Prevention Day: safeTALK (students)

You are invited to participate in a mental health training! Livingworks safeTALK is a half-day suicide prevention workshop that prepares anyone over the age of 15, regardless of prior experience or training, to become a suicide-alert helper. safeTALK is also suitable for those who have previously completed a mental health first aid course. This training is suitable for anyone!

Time: 4:30PM to 7:30PM

Location: Room CC 201 (SSM), Classroom A-604 (BRA), Smart Room J (Creekbank)

Cost: FREE

  • Videos that illustrate what happens when signs of suicide are overlooked, and how you can contribute to safe outcomes when these signs are heard and addressed

  • Opportunities to further explore organizational applications of the training

  • A community resource person will be on hand at the workshop to support your safety and comfort.
