Pyro-epistemology cleanses academic literature of its dehumanizing discussion of First People, and creates space in academia for Indigenous voices. Decolonizing Indigenous histories and homelands through oral traditions and archaeology, this lecture will focus on research and a hemispheric-wide database that places First People in the Western Hemisphere (the Americas) for over 130,000 years.
