Summer Moon Festival: Cultural Appreciation from a First Nations Perspective

In an effort to support the revitalization of tourism within Sault Ste. Marie and to celebrate Indigenous arts and culture, Professional and Continuing Education (PACE) is proud to announce it is collaborating with Tourism Sault Ste. Marie to host two workshops during the upcoming Summer Moon Festival.

The Summer Moon Festival features the creation of large-scale public art installations as well as musical performances and professionally-led community programming that celebrates this powerful location as a meeting ground, while looking to the future of what we can become as a community.

Over the past two years, while managing the hurdles of the global pandemic, the Summer Moon Festival has continued to bring explosions of color and artwork by world-renowned artists to Northern Ontario. This year marks the Festival’s return to music, food, community gathering, and celebrations!

The Summer Moon Festival is made possible by the support of festival organizers – the Indian Friendship Center, Downtown Association (BIA), building owners, volunteers, and the community, with support from the City of Sault Ste. Marie.

PACE invites you to Sign Up for our Summer Moon Workshops, participation is free and all are welcome.
