The Human Library Event at Wishart Library
Wishart Library Invites Students, Staff, and Faculty to “Unjudge Someone” at the Human Library
SAULT STE. MARIE, ON — Wishart Library at Algoma University invites all students, staff, and faculty to participate as Readers in the Human Library on Wednesday, July 30, from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
The Human Library is an international initiative designed to challenge stigma and promote dialogue, understanding, and empathy. Instead of borrowing books, Readers “check out” real people—our Human Books—who share their lived experiences with discrimination, bias, or misunderstanding. Through one-on-one or small group conversations, participants have a unique opportunity to engage in meaningful, respectful dialogue and help break down stereotypes.
This event is open to the entire campus community. Drop in throughout the day to listen, ask questions, and take part in an unforgettable experience that reminds us all to Unjudge Someone.
