“As a Métis student, I’ve gotten to participate in a lot of events and activities that are related to my heritage. When I visit the Gathering at the Rapids Pow Wow, or when there’s a teepee and a ceremonial fire right outside the GLC, it makes the campus feel like home. None of these activities are exclusively for Indigenous people either. We’re all part of this big community on campus where we respect each other.”
“When I took the plunge and decided to begin my undergraduate degree at Algoma U, I wasn’t sure what to expect. Moving from Toronto to Sault Ste. Marie as a lone 19-year-old was certainly a daunting adventure; however, I was very quickly swept into the Algoma family through varsity basketball, residence life, and the community. These familial structures are still what remain in mind when I think back about my time at Algoma University”
“The skills and techniques I learned have helped to propel me through the world of Economic Development, and I feel that Algoma U’s BBA program has armed me with the knowledge and abilities I need to continue to excel in my field. I would recommend the BBA program to anyone interested in a career in business who also wishes to have the opportunity to excel and advance in their chosen field.”
