Key Features of Policy Framework
Developed and implemented by the Policy Office, the Policy Framework includes the following key features:
- Structured policy lifecycle – covering initiation, development, review, modification, consolidation, retirement and approval.
- Clear roles and responsibilities – for Policy Owners, Approval Authorities, and governing bodies, with both regular and expedited approval processes to respond to urgent legislative, operational, or strategic needs.
- Alignment and Accessibility – to ensure policies comply with legislation, support the University’s Special Mission, values, and strategic priorities, and are accessible to the community.
- Structured consultation – established to promote collaboration, accessibility, and Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) throughout policy development and review.
- Community Impact – ensuring policies are well-organized, regularly reviewed, and continuously improved, keeping them current, relevant, and practical for students, employees, and all members of the University community.
