The new Computer Science Co-operative Education Programs offers students a degree with academic co-op credit embedded into the program. Students will gain valuable work experience as they will be given the opportunity to take leadership on small-scale projects and to be mentored by industry experts. By combining semesters of classroom study with semesters of full-time employment in career-related positions, students will have the best of both worlds as they apply their formal learning to the workplace, and vice-versa.

The employment prospects for students who complete a university degree with the Co-operative Education option are excellent! Students will have the practical and theoretical skills in order to be successful in the workforce and respond successfully to the challenges presented by contemporary high-demand computer science positions.

As part of the School of Computer Science & Technology, our Accelerated Bachelor of Computer Science Co-operative Education Program is offered at the Brampton Campus with limited enrolment of 25 students beginning the program May 1st each year.

There is one intake annually on our Brampton Campus which is May 1.

Yes. Students who complete the accelerated program can continue on to earn four-year honours degree. It is recommended that you speak to your faculty advisor as soon as possible so you may properly plan your course progression in advance.

Yes. International students must be living in Canada to apply.

Placements are not guaranteed however assistance is provided by the Talent Partnership Developer to ensure your success in securing a placement.

An overall average of 70% is required, however, it is a limited enrolment program meaning the number of available spaces is limited to the top 25 qualified candidates.

You will graduate with a 3-year General Bachelor of Computer Science OR a General Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Co-op.
