Hunger Freeze Food Drive
The Algoma University Hunger Freeze Food Drive returns as part of the 2026 Bon Soo Winter Carnival, with university leadership, staff, and community members braving the cold in support of local food pantries, including the Algoma University Students’ Union (AUSU) Food Pantry.
As fundraising milestones are reached, participants will take the plunge, helping to raise awareness about food insecurity while reinforcing the University’s commitment to a caring and inclusive community and inspiring meaningful community action. The 2026 goal is $5,000 or equivalent canned food items.\
