Hunger Freeze Food Drive
The Algoma University Hunger Freeze Food Drive returns as part of the 2026 Bon Soo Winter Carnival, inviting university leadership, staff, students, and community members to brave the cold in support of local food pantries—including the Algoma University Students’ Union (AUSU) Food Pantry.
There are two ways to help:
- Sign up to plunge and fundraise as part of the Hunger Freeze team
- Donate non-perishable food items or make a monetary contribution
- Join the fun as a vendor!
As fundraising milestones are reached, registered plungers will take the plunge—helping raise awareness about food insecurity and inspiring community action. The 2026 goal is $5,000 or the equivalent in non-perishable food donations.
