I take my roles in life serious, for I am fortunate enough to know what it had to take for my ancestors, granny, Shomie, mom,dad and the rest of my loved ones for me to be where I am in life. Student Award! These funds have greatly impacted my school year! I am an athlete on the Algoma University Women’s basketball team, and these scholarships have allowed me to pursue both my academic and athletic goals. Being part of the Thunderbirds Varsity Athletics has allowed me the opportunity to participate in a unique way, in community events (local games) and represent Algoma at a provincial level (OUA). This would not be possible to do without finances for school tuition, which the various awards I have received have helped to take care of!
