Algoma University recognizes that today is National Indigenous Peoples Day. This day, established in 1996 as National Aboriginal Day, was renamed by Prime Minister Trudeau today.
Today, Algoma University’s Board of Governors, with the support of its many partners, proclaims its profound support for the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s 94 Calls to Action…and beyond.
The Archives of Ontario has unveiled a special exhibition titled “Family Ties: Ontario Turns 150” in Toronto, Ontario. One of the families highlighted in the exhibition is the family of Chief Shingwauk.
