(SAULT STE. MARIE, ON – November 29, 2016): The Algoma University music ensembles will be delighting audiences at a pair of concerts this week within Sault Ste. Marie.
On November 29th the Algoma U Choir will be performing an array of holiday melodies in the Shingwauk Auditorium on the University’s campus. The concert begins at 7:30pm. Audience members can also enjoy a cash bar.
The eclectic 11-piece Algoma U Jazz Ensemble will be performing at LopLops on December 1st at 9:00pm. The group will be performing new arrangements of various works from the standard jazz repertoire, including pieces by Miles Davis, Horace Silver, Benny Golson, Bobby Timmons, Herbie Hancock, Freddy Hubbard, Wes Montgomery, and more. Those who are under 19 can attend the event with proof of a valid student identification card.
