Algoma University is proud to recognize the outstanding achievements of its 2024-25 USports Academic All-Canadians, a distinction awarded to varsity student-athletes across the country who have maintained exceptional academic performance while competing at the highest levels of their university sport. More than 35 Thunderbirds student-athletes earned this distinct honour, marking another strong showing for the University.
“The demands on each individual are high, but so are the rewards that come with it,” said Rachel Rankin, Director of Varsity Athletics. “These student-athletes embody everything about what it means to compete with heart, pride, and passion while pursuing excellence in the classroom. We’re incredibly proud of their commitment, integrity, and the contributions they’ve made to the Algoma University community. They inspire all of us.”
Balancing training, travel, competition, and coursework requires extraordinary discipline. This year’s honourees exemplify the determination, leadership, and resilience that define the culture of Thunderbirds athletics.
