Algoma U Hosts One Day Application and Registration Fair

(SAULT STE. MARIE, ON – August 17, 2017): Are you thinking about attending university this fall? Are you a returning student but still haven’t registered for your fall courses? Algoma University is hosting a one-day Application and Registration Fair on Wednesday, August 23 from 12:00pm to 8:00pm. For one day only, Algoma U will be offering on the spot admission, advising, and registration to new and returning students.

Algoma U’s Academic Advising Team will be on hand to assist students in planning their educational path. Personal campus tours will also be available over the course of the fair.

“This is a great opportunity for students to find out what Algoma University has to offer, especially those who are still on the fence in regards to their education plans for the fall,” said Brent Krmpotich, Director of Student Recruitment. “The quality of our academic programs and services keeps improving. Combine that with the rising cost of living away from home and it makes a lot of sense for local students to study at Algoma U.”

Algoma U offers over 30 different academic degree programs in the social sciences, humanities, and sciences. The University also offers professional degree programs in the fields of Business Administration and Social Work. There are still seats available in all academic programs. Algoma U also offers some of the best entrance scholarships in the province, valued at $6,000, $10,000, $12,000, or $16,000 over the duration of four years. For more information, please visit www.algomau.ca.

Algoma students benefit from one-on-one interactions with their professors and small class sizes. An undergraduate-only university, students have the opportunity to conduct cutting edge research, be a Teaching or Research Assistant, and work in state-of-the-art laboratories. Plus, an education at Algoma U is also affordable: tuition rates are below the provincial average.

Refreshments and snacks will be provided. Parking will also be provided.

Appointments are encouraged, but walk-ins are welcome. To book an appointment, please email [email protected].
