(SAULT STE. MARIE, ON – October 25, 2017): Students studying computer science at Dali University in the People’s Republic of China can now finish their degree at Algoma University in as little as one year.
Recently, Algoma University and Dali University in Dali, Yunnan Province, China signed a formal agreement allowing Dali University computer science students the opportunity to earn their Bachelor of Computer Science by finishing their fourth and final year in Sault Ste. Marie.
The signed Memorandum of Academic Co-operation and Exchange will facilitate cultural and research exchanges between the two post-secondary institutions. Students who meet specific academic and language requirements will be welcomed to campus to build on their previous learning from Dali University. The agreement also welcomes Dali University faculty to Sault Ste. Marie to work alongside Algoma U computer science faculty, conducting cutting-edge research in the field of information technology, computer science, and gaming.
Dali University students will complete 30 upper level credits at Algoma University in order to earn their Bachelor of Computer Science degree.
“We are pleased to enter into a formal agreement with Dali University,” said Algoma University Registrar David Marasco. “Academic exchanges provide students and faculty with exciting opportunities for academic enrichment and personal growth. We look forward to future collaboration between our two universities.”
