(TIMMINS, ON – August 25, 2017): Are you thinking about attending university this fall? Are you a returning student but still haven’t registered for your fall courses? Algoma University at Timmins is hosting a one-day Application and Registration Fair on Tuesday, August 29 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Northern College in the Atrium. For one day only, Algoma U will be offering on the spot admission, advising, and registration to new and returning students.
“This is a great opportunity for students to find out what Algoma U at Timmins has to offer, especially those who are still on the fence in regards to their education plans for the fall,” said Brian Leahy, Director of Extension Programming and Distributed Learning. “The partnership between Algoma U and Northern College ensures a wide range of high quality academic and non-academic supports available to our students studying in Timmins. Combine that with the rising cost of living away from home and it makes a lot of sense for local students to study at Algoma U at Timmins.”
Students can earn a Bachelor of Arts in Community Development or an Honours Bachelor of Social Work at Algoma U at Timmins. There are still seats available in both academic programs. Programs are designed especially for mature learners and those with previous college or university education. Students can study on a part- or full-time basis.
