Algoma University’s Visual Art program proudly presents two solo exhibitions showcasing the final thesis work of graduating Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) students Zooey and Kian Murray. The exhibitions will be on display at the Art Gallery of Algoma from April 10 to April 25, 2025, with an opening reception on Thursday, April 10, from 7 to 9 p.m.
Titled Solace (Zooey) and From Rock Bottom (Kian Murray), the exhibitions represent the culmination of each artist’s academic and creative journey. Through these deeply personal and thought-provoking bodies of work, Zooey and Kian explore themes of identity, healing, transformation, and the power of visual storytelling.
“These exhibitions are a significant milestone for our students and the program,” shared Algoma University Visual Art faculty member Andrea Pinheiro. “They reflect the dedication, vision, and creative growth our students have cultivated throughout their time at Algoma.”
The public is warmly invited to the free opening reception, where they can meet the artists, engage with their work, and celebrate the next generation of emerging Northern Ontario artists.
