(SAULT STE. MARIE, ON – April 27, 2017): Algoma University invites everyone to attend the opening reception of “In SITE / In SIGHT / INSIGHT”, the visual art students’ end of the year honours thesis exhibition tonight at the Art Gallery of Algoma from 7:00pm – 9:30pm.
Six artists’ works will be represented at this year’s exhibition, including Emily Boylan, Joseph Burch, Maria Chilelli, Elisabeth Giraudi, Britt-Marie Lindgren, and Adelle Staples. These students have spent eight months on their end-of-studies thesis and have professionally curated their group exhibition. This year’s themes are geographical, cultural, and social, investigating relationships and histories to the land, explorations of cultural identity and expression, and social interactions and memory.
This event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be available.
