(SAULT STE. MARIE, ON, September 8, 2016): Algoma University has signed a membership agreement with the Searchmont Ski Association Inc. (SSAI) to create an exciting and valuable partnership that will benefit local and out-of-area students for the 2016-2017 season.

The agreement outlines the cooperation of both organizations in their partnership to compliment Algoma University students’ studies with extra-curricular activities at Searchmont. This partnership will enhance Algoma University’s student life experience by offering full-time students the benefits of having a full season’s ski pass, which is a new initiative for the University.

“Algoma University students will truly benefit from this exciting arrangement with Searchmont Ski Resort,” states Brent Krmpotich, Director of Marketing and Communications at Algoma University. “This agreement with Searchmont Ski Resort provides our students with access to one of the province’s premiere ski areas, it will contribute to student life and increase student engagement. We know from past experience that our Searchmont Ski events were very well attended, now students can go as often as the like.”
