MARIE, ON — November 18, 2025): Algoma University students revived the Trick or Eatz fundraiser, bringing together 35 students, staff, and local residents on Halloween, collecting $725 in food and monetary donations to support two vital causes: the World University Service of Canada (WUSC) Student Refugee Program and the Algoma University Students’ Union (AUSU) Food Pantry.
Algoma University’s Musicians-in-Residence ensemble, the piano duo, “Duo Turgeon”, successfully showcased the University’s Music program through a series of distinguished international performances throughout the year, including their Japanese debut in Tokyo and Osaka.

Algoma University successfully hosted its inaugural Model United Nations (MUN), a two-day conference designed for local high school delegates and led entirely by Algoma students on the Sault Ste. Marie campus.
The MUN was organized by Algoma University students in the Law and Politics Student Society (LPSS),
Rajat Malik came to Canada from Uttarakhand, India, with a strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering from Graphic Era University. In 2023, he completed his Graduate Certification in Project Management at Algoma University’s Brampton campus — a decision that would profoundly shape both his personal and professional journey.
