Queen Elizabeth Scholar (QES) Program

Launched in 2014, the Queen Elizabeth Scholars program provides scholarships to undergraduate students for international experiences that include community engagement.

Queen Elizabeth Scholars engage with community, learn about culture, and work on projects and actions with a global impact. Queen Elizabeth Scholars become part of a global network who share knowledge, exchange ideas, and collaborate on meaningful initiatives.

Algoma University’s QES project is focused on community-based experiences to advance decolonization and cross-cultural education. Queen Elizabeth Scholars from Algoma University will engage in study, research, or an internship, as well as community work locally and internationally.
