Student Clubs
Students can also get involved on campus by taking advantage of student clubs.
The Algoma University Students’ Union (AUSU) provides funding annually for a variety of student clubs which allows students to meet others with common interests, share their talents, and relieve stress. Students can sign up for a club throughout the year, but special events called Club Days are held at the beginning of both the fall and winter semesters to help get students acquainted with the different existing clubs. And if you don’t find a club you’re interested in, you can always start a new one! At Algoma U, we foster students’ interests and creativity!

Student Club Feature
The People’s Garden
Thanks to the hard work of many volunteers, and the ongoing support of staff and faculty, Algoma University now has its own organic community garden on campus! The garden provides fresh fruits and vegetables to students, staff and faculty, and supplies Algoma U’s Food Bank with ongoing contributions of healthy, locally-grown produce. Join the co-operative committee, or simply come out to one of our potlucks or other events!
Thunder Street Team
The Thunder Street Team are a group of energetic and enthusiastic students who help promote student life at Algoma University. This volunteer opportunity is open to any student who is interested in making the university experience better for students and for increasing student engagement on campus. Responsibilities include engaging, promoting, and educating the campus community about campus life activities such as varsity games, intramural sports, and Speakeasy events
