Residence Fees and Meal Plans

Residence fees include the cost of a single room and utilities, with the addition of a meal plan for the Algoma Dormitory and Spirit Village Dorm.

Please note that there is a non refundable $50 application fee for each session, Spring session applications are due by April 1st, and Fall Winter Session applications are due by the first Monday in June. After your application is received, a $500 residence deposit will be immediately required to secure your spot, pending confirmation.

*The damage deposit is refundable pending the condition of the accommodations at the time of move out.

**With the exception of those staying in the Spirit Village Townhouses, students are required to purchase one of the meal plan options listed in the chart.

A meal plan agreement will be included in your residence information package. The agreement must be completed and returned to the housing office prior to your arrival.

Meal Plans

Tier 1 –  #1 Choice for First-year Dorm

Meal Plan (8 months) $5136 ($2568 will be charged per semester)

This is a tax-exempt plan saving you 13% HST at the cash.

Tier 1 Plan is best for students with a hearty appetite and who will be on campus during most weekends. Based on an average of 120 days per semester this will give you $21.40 per day to spend at on-campus food service locations.

 

Tier 2 –  #2 Choice for First-year Dorm

Meal Plan (8 months) $3852 ($1926 will be charged per semester)

This is a tax-exempt plan saving you 13% HST at the cash.

Tier 2 Plan is best for students with a lighter appetite, who are occasionally on campus during weekends and cook from time to time in their residence. Based on an average of 120 days per semester this will give you $16.00 per day to spend at on-campus food service locations.

 

Tier 3 – Meal Plan

Meal Plan (8 months) $3016 ($1508 will be charged per semester)

This is a tax-exempt plan saving you 13% HST at the cash.

Tier 3 Plan is best for students with small appetites, who are not usually on campus during the weekend and cook from time to time in their residence. Based on an average of 120 days per semester this will give you $12.56 per day to spend at on-campus food service locations.

 

Flex Plan

Load in $100 Increments

The flex plan is designed for staff, faculty and students not living on campus and is not available to students living on campus.
