Transition to University Event
Algoma U is hosting a free Transition to University evening for all new incoming local students that will be starting with us in September 2024.
University is going to be different from the learning environment you are coming from, whether that be high school or college, and I want you to be prepared for the new challenges ahead! This evening will cover university basics, effective learning strategies, academic supports, and a mock lecture by a university professor.
Dinner is provided and there will be some great prizes, like (big) gift cards, and some swag.
Room: EW 205 (pictures and directions to the room will be emailed after registering)
Deadline to register: Friday, July 12
What to bring: a good attitude, some questions, an open mind, and an appetite for supper!
