(SAULT STE. MARIE, ON- March 25, 2022): The Algoma University Thunderbirds Varsity Athletics department has renewed a three-year streaming partnership with TruHous Media (Saultsports TV). The agreement, which officially begins on March 28th, 2022, states that TruHous Media will become the main video streaming service for the Algoma Thunderbird Varsity Basketball program and the sole audio streaming partner for the Thunderbirds Varsity Soccer program.
“We are very pleased to announce that we are renewing our partnership with Truhous Media where they will be our varsity sports streaming service for the next three years for all of our home soccer and basketball games,” shared Dave Trudelle, Director of Student Life and Ancillary Services. “The web streaming service TruHous provides for us has added to our fan experience. It is great that for all of our home soccer and basketball games, parents of our Student-Athletes who live outside of Sault Ste. Marie and anywhere in the world have the opportunity to see their child play.”
The Thunderbirds Athletics Program has been streaming varsity sports events with TruHous Media since the 2018/19 season. Their play-by-play announcers and commentators are knowledgeable in the sports they cover and with trained camera operators, TruHous uses the latest technology with their streaming equipment to ensure the best results for spectators.
