Algoma University Participates in 15th Annual USports Shoot for the Cure

Official Shoot for the Cure 2022 men’s and women’s basketball games taking place Friday, February 11, 2022, at the GLC

(SAULT STE. MARIE, ON- February 7, 2022): USports announced in January that the 15th annual edition of the Shoot for the Cure will be held both virtually and in-person for the 2021-22 season.

Algoma University’s Thunderbirds Athletics Department planned a fundraising campaign where coaches and administration volunteered to face a variety of challenges throughout the months of January and February as goals were met.

These challenges continue to be posted on the Thunderbirds social pages, and two of them will be taking place LIVE Friday, February 11, 2022, at the official Shoot for the Cure 2022 Men’s and Women’s Basketball games. See Coach Ryan Vetrie and Director of Student Life and Ancillary Services Dave Trudelle get a pie in the face and watch AU’s Communications Officer Megan Parlowe and community member Amber Shewfelt get their long locks cut for the cause.
