March 31st is recognized as the International Transgender Day of Visibility (TDOV). This annual occurrence is dedicated to celebrating trans and gender-diverse people. TDOV aims to raise awareness of transphobia and the discrimination that trans people face.
Algoma University is committed to making spaces safer and more accessible to all members of the university community, this includes welcoming and supporting trans and gender diverse people. Trans and gender diverse people are a valued part of Algoma University and we appreciate the insights, strengths, and contributions they bring to our community. Transphobia and violence against trans and gender diverse people have no place at Algoma University.
