Yesterday, many in the Algoma University community joined others within Canada, the United Kingdom, and around the globe in mourning the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, who died at the age of 96.
The world observed her Platinum Jubilee in June, marking her 70th anniversary as Queen, the longest reign of any British monarch. Her commitment and dedication to her country and people have been acknowledged worldwide.
The flags on our Sault Ste. Marie campus have been lowered to half-mast in tribute.
