Algoma University’s 7th annual Community Trick or Treat was a huge success, with amazing costumes, thousands of participants, and generous donations to both the United Way and the Algoma U Food Pantry.

Local Police Service Establishes In-Service Training Office on Algoma Campus
On October 29th, 2019, Algoma University (AU) and the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service (SSMPS) announced the establishment of a new in-service training office within the Convergence Centre located on the University’s Sault Ste.
On Tuesday, October 29, Algoma University is honoured to welcome Holocaust survivor, Max Eisen to campus. Max Eisen’s By Chance Alone: A Remarkable True Story of Courage and Survival at Auschwitz won the CBC’s Canada Reads this year.
Algoma University faculty, staff, and students are busy making campus spooky for the seventh annual Algoma U Community Trick or Treat Night for the United Way on Wednesday, October 30 from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm.
On October 23rd, the 2019 Algoma University John R. Rhodes Scholarship Dinner took place at The Water Tower Inn, raising $42,000 to support the ongoing issuance of this annual award. This year’s dinner honoured the tremendous contribution the McDougall family has made to our community while recognizing this year’s recipient of the John R.
Algoma University recognizes the importance of networks to helping students navigate meaningful career paths, and is pleased to invite local employers to the Sault Ste. Marie campus on Wednesday, November 6, 2019, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
