On Saturday, March 31st, 2019, the first annual Jack.Org Regional Summit: Northern Mindswas held on our Sault Ste. Marie campus. Students from across NorthernOntario participated in an interactive day full of workshops, talks, andinformation sessions geared towards mental health and mental healthadvocacy.
(SAULT STE. MARIE, ON, March 20, 2019): At the March 18th meeting of Sault Ste. Marie City Council, a unanimous vote approved $400,000 in funding from the Sault Ste. Marie Economic Development Fund to support the $5.2M planned expansion for the Algoma University School of Business and Economics.
Currently, Dr. Jenn Foote of the Biology Department and Dr. Dave Brodbeck of the Psychology Department are studying the foraging behaviours of species of winter resident birds in our area. In one study, the team uses 3 different coloured bird feeders at three different locations about 400 meters apart.

MARIE, ON- March 6th, 2019): Join the Algoma University Business Society (AUBS) this Friday, March 8th, 2019, from 9AM-5PM in the Speakeasy for the first annual AUBS Internal Student Case Competition. This unique event will involve second and third-year Business students who will analyze a case and present their solutions to judging panels made up of Algoma University faculty and local business partners.
