Algoma University’s Music department is pleased to announce the return of the Great Lakes International Summer Music Experience (GLISME) in July 2026, offering exceptional and immersive musical training, performance, and mentorship opportunities for dedicated young musicians.
GLISME will run over two weeks, with final concerts scheduled at the end of each session. Students may choose to attend week one, week two, or both, with auditions taking place in April 2026. Each accepted student will receive a scholarship covering ninety percent of their tuition, reducing fees from $1,000 per week to just $100.
“GLISME continues its commitment to providing high-quality, accessible music education,” said Matthew Warnock, GLISME Director. “These substantial scholarships ensure that GLISME remains within reach for passionate and hardworking students while upholding the program’s highest artistic and educational standards.”
Algoma University looks forward to welcoming a new group of talented young musicians this summer. To be eligible to audition, interested students are invited to complete the GLISME 2026 participant statement of interest form here. To learn more about GLISME, visit algomau.ca/glisme/.
