(BRAMPTON / SAULT STE. MARIE, ON- July 12th, 2021): Algoma University has recently partnered with the Canada Homestay Network (CHN) to support the needs of students on our Sault Ste. Marie and Brampton campuses. CHN, a not-for-profit society dedicated to facilitating intercultural connections through homestay accommodations, has placed more than 75,000 students in homestay across Canada since 1995.
“We are excited to be partnering with Canada Homestay Network to provide our homestay program for students. This will allow us to expand our homestay program not only for our Sault Ste. Marie students, but also for our students at our growing Brampton campus,” shared Dave Trudelle, Director of Student Life and Ancillary Services. “Our international students that live in homestay accommodations are provided invaluable support by the host families that helps them adapt to living and learning in a new country. Partnering with Canada Homestay Network allows us to grow those opportunities for students to have that experience.”
The Canada Homestay Network offers referrals to trusted, licensed visa advising services for international students currently in, or planning to come to Canada. CHN partners at Immanuel Immigration & Education Inc. are licensed by Immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory Council (ICCRC) to advise international students on matters relating to student visas, study permits, and visitor visas. The services provided by Immanuel Immigration & Education are independent of CHN.
