New exceptional pathway agreement to help further grow Social Work talent pool 

(TIMMINS, ON- January 19, 2023): Yesterday, representatives from Northern College and Algoma University announced the signing of a new exceptional transfer agreement to further support their longstanding partnership to improve diploma-to-degree pathways for students wishing to pursue careers in the area of Social Work.

Due to ongoing precipitation and predicted decreasing temperatures, unless otherwise noted, as of 5:30 PM today, Thursday, January 19, 2023, the Sault Ste. Marie campus will be CLOSED and all evening classes have been cancelled.

Student-led TEDx event inspires Sault Ste. Marie and the North

(SAULT STE. MARIE, ON- December 16, 2022): Algoma University recently hosted its very first TEDx event. TEDxAlgomaU- Free Your Genius was the brainchild of an extraordinary group of students and faculty who had a vision to showcase success and the powerful and unconventional ways different people attain it. 

Algoma University is partnering with Trinity Medical Sciences University (TMSU) to offer Algoma University graduates from Its Bachelor of Science in Biology program an international pathway to a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) program.
