We’re thrilled to welcome back Joe Pitawanakwat to Baawaating and will be visiting Algoma University on Wednesday October 24 and Thursday October 25th.

Joe is the owner of The Creators Garden and is from Wikwemikong Unceded Indian Territory on Manitoulin Island, Ontario.  He is an educator who specializes in plant-based medicine.  He focuses on plant identification, sustainable harvesting, and teachings.

Joe will be in the region for the week sharing knowledge of plant-based medicine and everyone is welcome to attend the scheduled events as reflected on this poster.

This year Anishinaabe Initiatives partnered with Bay Mills, Sault Tribe, Lake Superior State University, Sault College, and Ontario Residential Survivor Support Services.
