(BRAMPTON/ SAULT STE. MARIE/ TIMMINS- June 16, 2022): Earlier this evening, the Algoma University Board of Governors unanimously approved the reappointment of President and Vice-Chancellor Asima Vezina for a second five-year term.

(BRAMPTON, ON- May 25, 2022): Algoma University has announced the establishment of two new partnerships with industry leaders that will support the development of a new Unity Centre of Excellence on AU’s growing campus in Brampton’s emerging Innovation District as well as new academic programming tied to the business side of the esports industry offered through the University’s School of Business and Economics.

MARIE, ON, April 25, 2022): Algoma University’s department of English and History is pleased to announce that award-winning Canadian poet, performer, essayist, editor, and librettist, Alexandra Oliver will be instructing a two-week intensive writing workshop-style Creative Writing course this Spring term.

SAULT STE. MARIE — The Ontario government is providing $200,000 to the Children of Shingwauk Alumni Association (CSAA) to support their ongoing work at the site of the former Shingwauk Residential School and engaging with impacted communities.
