24W Pre-Arrival: Student Life at Algoma University
Week 1 & 3
International Students! Preparing for your new life in Canada can be overwhelming – Student Life is here to help! In our first “Student Life at AU” session we are going to look at what departing and arriving In Canada looks like and the ways to make your travel as easy as possible! During the session, we will go over what your journey will look like, share tips on how to make your journey a little less stressful and then finally end the session with a Q&A, where you can ask all your questions and have them answered in real-time.
Week 2&4
Living in a new city is a big change! In this week’s Student Life at AU session we are going to talk about your new city and cover topics such as accessing local transit, groceries, and city resources. By the end of the session, you will be familiar with everything your new city has to offer and how to access them! We have also set aside some time for Q&A, where you can ask all your questions and have them answered in real time.
Week 5
Are you a proactive student looking to get involved on Campus? Do you want to learn more about your new campus and everything available to you? If so, join us this week for the Student Life at AU session, where we will go over each campus and ways to get involved! As a Thunderbird, you have access to many academic and non-academic support and opportunities – join us to find out more!
Week 6
With the 24 Winter Orientation being right around the corner, this Student Life at AU session is focused on sharing important information on your upcoming O-Week! Join us to hear all about orientation and the various events taking place. As always, our Q&A will be open at the end to answer all your questions! ”
