Sean Carleton – Truth Before Reconciliation: How to Identify and Confront Residential School Denialism

Please join settler- scholar and Assistant Professor Sean Carleton at Algoma University for an interactive discussion about “Truth Before Reconciliation: How to Identify and Confront Residential School Denialism.” This event aims to raise awareness about residential school denialism focused towards residential school Survivors and their families and engage the wider community in issues pertaining to residential schools.

About Speaker:
Sean Carleton is a settler- scholar and an Assistant Professor in the Departments of History and Indigenous Studies at the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Treaty 1 territory and the homeland of the Métis Nation. He holds a BA and MA degrees in History from Simon Fraser University and a PhD from the Frost Centre for Canadian Studies and Indigenous Studies at Trent University.
