Bachelor of Fine Arts Year-End Exhibition

Graduating thesis students from Algoma University’s Bachelor of Fine Arts program will be displaying their work at their year-end exhibition at 180 Projects at 180 Gore Street. The exhibition runs until April 25th with the opening reception happening on April 20th at 7:00pm.

Graduating students, whose work will be on display, include Julia Downie, QiLegeer, Isabelle Michaud, Barb Ramsay, and Graciena Samosir. Works on display showcase a variety of mediums and feature an array of topics, spanning family and the homestead, trauma and transcendence, the move from Colombia to Canada, and more.

The senior exhibit prepares students for professional practices, such as researching and writings an artist’s statement, curating an exhibition, and an oral defense of his or her work. Plus, the exhibition allows students to gain recognition for their work, and display their refined, mature, and sophisticated artistry in the public sector.

The senior exhibition is open to the public and free of charge.
