Sacred Medicines: 101

This is an opportunity to learn about the four sacred medicines that grow in this region.

Join Shingwauk Residential Schools Centre Director Elizabeth Edgar-Webkamigad to learn what these traditional medicines are, how to relate to them, harvest them, and how to access them. This session will also include information about the Seven Grandfather Teachings, how they apply to all of us and can be useful in our everyday life.

This is a chance to share in intercultural learning and become acquainted with the knowledge and teachings of the first peoples of this land. All new, and returning students from all three Algoma campuses are welcome.
