The Canadian Foundation for Economic Education (CFEE) has partnered with Algoma University to offer a virtual workshop designed to help improve the financial education and capability of University and College students.

Coming out of this workshop you will have a better understanding of how to minimize taxes as a student by being aware of tax deductions/credits, tax efficient government programs and how different sources of investment income are taxed quite differently. You will learn how Canada’s progressive income tax system works as well as how taxes will impact your finances as you start your careers and start making more money. Taxes are a way of life but understanding how they work can lead to a great return on your investment (of time) and help you minimize the impact on your financial well being.
