AU Community BBQ

On March 21st, 2018 beginning at 11:30am, we will be co-hosting a Community Lunch BBQ (Speakeasy, Patio and the Arbour (weather permitting) to celebrate the coming of Spring and to to provide an opportunity for our community to support the ‘International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination.’

RSVP NOW

A small committee has come together to engage in the planning for this event as follows:

  • Traditional BBQ foods will be served (hotdogs/burgers w vegetarian option)
  • Departments and groups across campus are invited to provide a potluck-style dish to enhance the luncheon. The idea is that each department work as a team to try their hands at creating an international or locally flavoured dish that contributes to a cross cultural experience.  As an example, the Anishinaabe Initiatives team has indicated they are bringing a smoked fish platter that includes smoked trout and whitefish, smoked fish cream cheese dip and maple syrup candied smoked fish all that and a wild rice dish with berries.  Again, this contribution is welcomed but not mandatory. If you can contribute, please sign up on the attached document by providing your department/student group name and the dish selected by you and your team to bring to the event: Sign Up List for AU Community BBQ/Potluck March 21st

We look forward to this relaxing afternoon of fun, laughter, music, and camraderie, and appreciate all of your help in making this event a success!
