Algoma Thunderbirds Mens and Women’s basketball take on the Lakehead Thunderwolves at the George Leach center. The event is free to Algoma University Students. All others pay $5 for admittance to the games, Seniors/Students pay $3.

Algoma Powderpuff Football

The Algoma University Thunderbirds Powderpuff Football team is planning on travelling to Waterloo, Ontario to compete in the annual OUA Powderpuff Women’s Flag Football Tournament in February that is held at the University of Wilfred Laurier to raise funds and awareness for breast cancer research.

Self-Defense Class

Algoma University’s Women’s Safety Grant and the Royal Tae Kwon Do Instructors will be hosting a Self-Defense Class on Saturday March 11th 2017 from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM. This event will be taking place at the GLC in the Group Fitness Studio.
