While we do our best to accommodate all applicants, sometimes we receive more applications than we have rooms available. As spaces become available, an offer will be made, taking into consideration of the applicant’s preference. We will notify applicants through e-mail when a room becomes available and require an answer within two (2) business days. If we do not receive an email back within the time frame, we will move ahead and the next student on our list and your application will be cancelled. If we offer you a residence room and you decline because you would like another housing style, your application will be cancelled. If you find alternate housing and would like to cancel off the waiting list, please email Housing at [email protected]. Verbal or phone cancellations will not be accepted.
The waitlist will remain active throughout the year.

- Your Algoma U student number (if you do not have an Algoma U student number, you can use your phone number to apply)
- A valid email address

Deposits can be paid by online banking, or if you wish to make the payment by credit card contact Student Accounts at 705-949-2301, ext.4723 Monday to Friday from 8:30am – 4:30pm.
International students may also make bank transfers. Please contact the Coordinator of Housing to request a bank transfer form.
Residence Deposit due upon application, applied to residence fees.
Balance of Residence Fees due in full prior to moving in.
