Pathways Scholarships

Pathways Scholarships are available to domestic students who are pursuing a degree-completion program after completing a two- or three-year diploma at a Canadian community college. Students transferring from another Canadian university are also eligible, provided they have completed at least one full-time academic year of study.

To qualify for a Pathways Scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Enrollment Requirement: You must be enrolled in a minimum of 24 credits over two consecutive terms (Fall/Winter) and maintain this course load.
  • Academic Performance: Scholarships are awarded based on the overall admission average calculated at the time of your acceptance to Algoma University.
  • Application Documentation Deadline: All required admission documentation must be submitted by the deadline. Failure to meet the deadline will result in the award offer being revoked.
  • Eligibility Window: You must be a college graduate or university transfer who has completed your previous studies within 12 months of your start term at Algoma University.
  • Program Restrictions:
    • You must be entering a first-entry undergraduate degree program.
This scholarship is not available to students starting a second degree or enrolling in a master’s program.
    • You must not have been previously registered at Algoma University.
  • International Students: While the Pathways Scholarships are specifically for domestic students, international students are encouraged to explore our International Entrance Scholarships, which offer a range of financial support tailored to your academic achievements and contributions.
