Payment and Important Dates
We’re here to guide you with all that has to do with payments!
As you will discover, there are various methods that can be used to submit a payment. These payments are required to be paid in full by the deadlines, and it is the responsibility of the student to understand and familiarize him/ herself with these dates. Take the time to explore this page and you’ll be worry-free of missing an important date.
A student who completes and submits a Registration Form or completes Online Registration or authorizes registration through e-mail correspondence is considered to have registered at Algoma University and is liable for payment in full of all tuition and related fees associated with that registration.
Upon registration, domestic students are required to pay a $200 non-refundable deposit per term ($100 for Spring). Students in receipt of OSAP funding that have completed their aid application in full by the fee deferral deadline may defer their deposit requirements according to OSAP deferral deadlines. International students currently studying in Canada, as well as exchange or sponsored students, are required to pay a non-refundable $1,000 deposit. Prospective international students are required to pay the deposit of $10,600 (equivalent to full-time tuition fees for one term). The Graduate Certificate Program deposit is $10,600.
Algoma University reserves the right to deregister students from courses for non-payment; however, non-payment does not constitute proper withdrawal from courses. In the event of deregistration, the student will remain financially responsible for all tuition and related fees. Non-payment of fees will also result in prohibited registration for future courses, inability to obtain statements of academic standing, transcript requests, and/or other matters relating to academic progress until all outstanding fees have been paid in full.
